The
Iowa Farm and Land Chapter #2 of the Realtor’s Land Institute named Lyle
Siefering "Farm and Land Broker of the Year" in 2000 for his service
and commitment to the real estate industry and the organization.
A very active member for 15 years, he has served on various committees
and was State Treasurer for three years. He served as State President in 1998.
He also served on the National Board of Governors in 1997 and 1998 and chaired
the Trends and Values Committee from 1993 to 1996.
Siefering
is an
Iowa State University
graduate with a degree in Farm Operation. He began in the real estate business
in 1981 and purchased Hawkeye Farm Management and Real Estate in 1988. The
business has expanded to include residential real estate, property management
and branch offices at Penn Central Mall and in Albia. He is a member of the Iowa
and National Associations of Realtors and the Oskaloosa Multiple Listing
Service. In 1998, he was voted Oskaloosa Realtor of the Year. He and wife,
Becky, purchased Johnson Abstract and Mahaska Abstract and formed
Mahaska
Title – Johnson Abstract Company in 1991. They also own and manage
commercial and residential rental units. He is one of the developers of the Fox
Run Housing Development and actively manages a family farm in Southwest Iowa.
Community
involvement is very important to Siefering as evidenced by the many committees
and boards he serves on. He is a Charter Member and Past President of the
Mahaska
Ruritan Club. He serves as member of the Oskaloosa Chamber Ag & Rural
Development Committee and is a member of the following boards: Mahaska County
Condemnation Board, and the Oskaloosa Economic Development Board. Siefering also
founded the Oskaloosa Farmer’s Market and Oskaloosa Stamp Club. In 1999, he
